Passenger rushed to hospital after United Airlines flight makes emergency landing.
A flight from the US to Scotland had to divert to Dublin Airport this morning after a medical emergency.
The United Airlines flight from Washington Dulles was due to land in Scotland at around 10.40am – but made the diversion after someone fell in on board.
The flight landed in Dublin this morning shortly before 10am with a spokeswoman from the DAA confirming it departed for Edinburgh again at 11.55am.
She said: “I can confirm that Dublin Airport received a flight diversion this morning. Flight UA 146 from Washington to Edinburgh was diverted here due to a medical emergency. I understand a passenger was taken to Beaumont Hospital.
