Airbus ended a very subdued Dubai show with a quiet announcement of an MoU for 25 A320 neos for Kuwait’s Wataniya Airways.
The aircraft will be financed by Golden Falcon Aviation.
The airline began flying again in July with two A320s. It had previously operated for two years as a premium carrier but ceased trading in 2011.
Wataniya chairman Ali Al Fouzan said he was delighted with the upgraded fleet which will initially be serving 16 destinations, primarily in Egypt, India, Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates as well as Europe.
