Qantas is named the fifth best airline in the world in a new ranking.
The flagship Australian airline scored just over 8/10 in the 2019 AirHelp ranking.
The research, which examined expert knowledge and industry expertise, rated the airlines based on three key factors: flight timekeeping, service quality and how they flight handled customer claims if the flight was delayed or cancelled.
Qatar Airways secured first place and American Airlines came in second.
Surprisingly Aeromexico, the Mexican flagship airline, completed the top three.
Scandinavian Airlines, known as SAS, came in at fourth place, followed by Qantas which managed to scrape into the top five.
Fifth position was an improvement for Qantas which moved up the ranking and successfully beat other industry heavyweights.
