Regent Airways to fly to 6 new int’l routes

da454b5409b424941944ef9f8a5e6c4c-3Regent Airways is going to add four most modern aircraft in its fleet to put on service in six new international routes within the next one year, the company said in a statement yesterday.

The new aircrafts include one 183-seat Boeing 737-800, two165-seat Boeing 737-800 and one sprawling 265-seat Boeing 777-200. The new international destinations are –Katmandu (Nepal), Doha (Qatar), Guangzhou (China), Jakarta (Indonesia), Colombo (Sri Lanka) and Male (Maldives). Among those, it is expected that Dhaka-Katmandu-Dhaka flight will start operating from the later part of the next month.

These were revealed at a function held at Rawa Convention Center in the capital organized to celebrate the 6th founding anniversary of the company yesterday. Regent’s Chairman Yasin Ali and the CEO Lt Gen (Retd) M Fazle Akbar NDC , PSC were present on the occasion.

Currently, Regent Airways is offering is operating daily flights services to Kolkata, KualaLumpur, Singapore and Muscat. Besides, the airline is operating weekly 4 flights to Bangkok. The company has taken planned to expend Tk 800 crore in this expansion programme.
